Previously we defined "success" and how a definite purpose in life uses organized effort to achieve it. Napoleon Hill stated in his book "Law of Success" that most people do not have a definite purpose in life and live life without fulfilling their own dreams. To define what it is we really want in life is the first crucial step. Do we want an abundance of money, a beautiful house, our own business? Be more precise about your goal. How much money do you want? What type of house and where do you want it built. What kind of business do want to own, and what purpose does it serve. Once we can define our purpose in life, then we can "organize" our efforts to obtain it. This organized effort is what Hill described as the "law of master mind." It is where two or more people come together for the one purpose, and that is to achieve success in any venture or goal they set up on.
Hill suggests that we write down what our definite purpose in life would be. We must come up with one definite purpose in doing so, all other goals will fall into place. 1. write our definite purpose. 2. It is important to write down "how" we plan to achieve this purpose. 3. Write down a exact date or deadline into which to obtain this purpose. Once we write these down we must look at this every day, reading out loud our plan at least twice a day. This is called autosuggestion which we will touch upon later.
